Service Unit 205

Purpose

Together with Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama, GSNCA Service Unit 205 helps to create girls of Courage, Confidence and Character who make the world a better place.

GSNCA Service Unit 205 serves the Girl Scouts of Morgan and Lawrence county.

The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is made up of 6 different levels. Girls can join at any time during the year and girls can begin the Girl Scout Leadership Experience at any level.

  • Daisy: Kindergarten - 1st grade do amazing things: They join troops, sell cookies, earn petals/badges, explore nature, make friends, and lots more!

  • Brownie: 2nd grade - 3rd grade have more fun selling cookies, earning badges, exploring nature, being friends, and making the world a better place!

  • Junior: 4th grade - 5th grade are superheroes! They explore, go camping, sell cookies, earn awards, make new friends. They may even save the planet!

  • Cadette: 6th grade - 8th grade do big things! They earn badges and awards, take Leadership Journeys, get outdoors, improve their communities and tons more!

  • Senior: 9th grade - 10th grade take on the world! They travel, fight bullying, explore future careers, earn scholarships, camp like pros, and more!

  • Ambassador: 11th grade - 12th grade improve their communities, earn awards and scholarships, save the planet, build strong relationships, and more!

What we've done

We are honored to be able to serve our community through service projects and high award projects. Many of these projects are annual events for us!


Here are just a few of the things we do:

  • clean up Mussle Camp area of Wheeler Wildlife Refuge

  • clean up the walking trails at Point Mallard

  • assisting with the wreath laying with Wreaths Across America at Roselawn Memorial Garden

  • making treats and visiting assisted living facilities

  • hosting a food drive for Feeding Families of Alabama.


We have so many more projects planned for the upcoming years
